Churches of Copenhagen

Churches of Copenhagen er en arkitektonisk undersøgelse af Københavns kirker (inkl. Frederiksberg) og deres rolle i byen. Projektet analyserer kirkerne uden teologisk stillingtagen og med fokus på deres typologi, morfologi og urbane tilstedeværelse.

Ved at stille alle kirker op i én samlet struktur, uden hierarki efter alder, stil eller status, læses de som spejlinger af samtidens arkitektoniske tendenser og byens udvikling. Fokus ligger på form, placering, materialitet og funktion, og på hvordan disse elementer spiller sammen på tværs af historiske og institutionelle skel.

C.O.C. er en undersøgelse af kirken som arkitektur og byrum, og af hvordan disse bygninger fortsat præger byens rum og forståelse. C.O.C. er ikke en opmåling, men en læsning. Ikke en trosbekendelse, men en arkitektonisk eftertanke.

Churches of Copenhagen is an architectural investigation of the churches of Copenhagen (including Frederiksberg) and their role within the city. The project approaches these buildings without theological consideration, focusing instead on their typology, morphology, and urban presence.

By presenting all churches within a single framework, without hierarchy of age, style, or status, they are read as reflections of architectural tendencies and the evolving structure of the city.
